Tamilnadu Medical Service Recruitment Board (MRB) Recruitment Notification 2014 for 2176 Assistant Surgeons in General-MBBS and Dental: TNMRB invites the applications from the candidates for recruitment of 2142 posts of Assistant Surgeon (General- MBBS) and 34 Assistant Surgeon (Dental) posts on a temporary basis in Tamilnadu Medical service of the Notification No: 05/2014. Eligible candidates can apply online through the TNMRB website www.mrb.tn.gov.in. The candidates who are having MBBS Degree and BDS Degree or equivalent degree from any recognized University by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grants should be eligible for this Government Job Under the Government of Tamilnadu.
The candidates who are in the service of the Indian Union or a State in India or in the employment of local bodies or any government Institutions under the Government of India should produce “No objection Certificate” in the form of prescribed format from the appointing authority. The candidates who are attempting the interview to bring any influence like chairman or any member of the Board personally/through relatives or any other persons will be disqualified. The Hall Tickets for eligible candidates will be available on the website www.mrb.tn.gov.in for download. The organization will be not sent any Hall Tickets by Post.

Education Qualification:
Assistant Surgeon (General- MBBS): The candidates should possess the MBBS Degree or its equivalent qualification from any institute recognized by the Medical Council of India.
Assistant Surgeon (Dental): The candidate should posses the BDS degree from recognized university and the course must have been approved by the Dental Council of India.
Pay/Salary: Rs.15600 to 39100/- + Grade pay Rs.5400/-
Application Fee:
- Rs.370/- for SC/ST/SCA candidates.
- Rs.750/- for all other candidates.
- The candidates have to pay the services charges applicable to the Indian Bank i.e. approximately Rs.15/-.
Age Limit:
- Candidates age should be 35 years for Assistant Surgeon (General), 30 years for Assistant Surgeon (Dental) as of 01-07-2015 for others
- No age limit for the candidates belongs to SC/ ST/ BC / MBC & DCs.
Selection Process: The candidate selection will be made on the marks obtained in the written Examination.
