ABOUT NDA & NA EXAM:
NDA (National Defense Academy) & NA (Naval Academy) is the joint services academy of the Indian Armed Forces (IAF). NDA & NA Exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year, every six months usually in April and August. Only unmarried Indian citizens can only apply for this exam. Candidates who qualified or pursuing final year in 12th Standard (i.e intermediate) are eligible to apply.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: 12th pass for Army and 12th pass with Physics and Mathematics for Navy and Air Force.
EXAMINATION PROCEDURE: Written Test, Extensive Intelligence and Personality test.
CLASSES STARS FROM: July and January
EXAM HELD IN: The Exam will be held twice a year
TRAINING PERIOD: 3 Years
How will be the Career in National Defence Academy?
If Candidates want to become an officer in Indian Armed Force, NDA & NA Exam will be the best entry point. Candidates who successfully completes the NDA & NA Exam, they move onto the NDA Academy for the training programme. Army cadets will be trained by Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, Naval cadets will be trained by Indian Naval Academy (INA), Kerala, and Air Force Cadets by Air Force Association (AFA) at Hyderabad.
While training they earn ₹ 21,000/ as stipend. Army candidates start their career as Indian Army leftant, Navy candidates as sub leftant and Air force candidates as flying officer. After the course, candidates will get ₹45,000/ after all allowances. They will get promotion as captain, major, carnal, brigade, chief of army staff, admiral and air chief marshal.
NDA EXAM PATTERN:
NDA exam comprises of a written exam followed by and intelligence and personality test. The written exam details as follows:
NDA Written Exam consist of two papers.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR NDA Exam PAPER I AND II?
Preparing for paper I (Mathematics): To prepare for this Mathematics paper, the first thing is to have clarity in concepts. Already you know that you will solve mathematical problems easily by more practice. So try to solve as many as mathematical sums or mock questions as possible. If you are good at mathematics, this will be an easy section for you.
Preparing for Paper II:
Part A: English
In this section, you have to prepare for grammar & usage and comprehension. Read English newspaper daily and practice new words. And Practice English tests daily as many as possible.
Part B: General Knowledge:
Here you need to prepare all latest current affairs within and outside country. Prepare for all topics which we covered in syllabus table. And follow news updates or latest happenings daily.
